The year 2020 has been like none other, and we are ready for things to feel “normal” again. As we plan our annual kick off for 2021, we wanted to give 2020 a special send off. To officially close the 50th anniversary celebrations of the incorporation of Cape Coral, the Cape Coral Historical Society and Museum, along with the City of Cape Coral, will be hosting a two-day family-friendly event in Cultural Park and we would like you to be a part of the celebration!
Calling all you Pink Ladies and Greasers! Friday evening January 22, 2021 from 6-9pm, we will be showing Grease – starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John, in Cultural Park just behind the Museum. Join us as we sing along to one of our favorite family films. Hungry? Dance your way to over to the concession stand and pick up a classic treat!
The following day, Saturday January 23, 2021, the Cape Coral Historical Society and Museum will host its Annual Music Festival and Community Party “Jammin’ in Cultural Park.” This year we are throwing it back to the 70s with a live DJ, performances by community groups like the Calendar Girls and ending the night with a performance by local favorites Riverside. This year’s event will be held from 4pm to 10pm and we will be following all suggested social distancing guidelines. The Museum will be open during the event for families to tour and food trucks will be on site. Bring your friends and families out to shake off the 2020 blues and enjoy great food, wonderful music, and fascinating history.
